Dear Family and Friends,  I just wanted to send out a quick note to everyone. Though we are taking a small break this year, it doesn't mean we won't be doing other things in the future. If you have seen the video that we have done discussing our life with CF, you would have heard me say that when they come out with a pill form of the nebulizer that the boys have to do every other month for twice a day for 30 minutes, I will celebrate like there is a cure. That treatment made it very hard not to be tied to the house. The boys hated it and though we were grateful that it kept the boys healthy, we hated it as well. Because of all of your support and donations, the boys are on a new medicine! It is called Cayston and it comes with its own nebulizer that is completely silent. It is a three times a day treatment but the best part is that it is portable (the boys can do it anywhere in the house) and it only takes 1 minute and 30 seconds!!!! And...their coughs are completely gone. It took care of them after just 2 days. They are on this treatment every other month and because it is so fast, the boys don't ever fight us on doing it. They still have to do their once a day nebulizer, Pulmozyme that is 15 minutes but life has been a little easier at our house. I wanted to thank all of you for all of your help. It is proof that the money you donate IS helping kids with CF. We might not have a cure YET but we are getting advancements that are improving the quality of those that are battling this disease. Please remember that just because we aren't having an event this year, if it comes time to donate to a cause, our hope is that CF will still be your cause. You are making a difference!
